    I Almost Lost My Mind

    - a song from the LP Two Of A Kind
which I have been trying to transfer to a CD. I say trying because it
is some time since I have done LP to CD and couldn't remember
without reading all the instructions as I went along. When I thought
I was finally copying and onto the last song on side one I suddenly
realised I had not clicked on the 'record' button and had only recorded
the last song, but at least I know it is working so will try again tomorrow

    Will I Live On

    - again from Two Of A Kind, a really beautiful song but
    again it's about death :(

Another one I really like is 'Me and Infinity' from the songs that
can be downloaded from - also about
    death but so beautiful.

I have played 'Will I Live On' about 50 times, or more, trying to
copy from LP to CD but couldn't separate to single tracks until I
suddenly thought I would just record one song at a time - and it worked [IMG]
I can now listen to Two Of A Kind in my car - great!!!

I'm hoping to get my new turntable going so I can do the same -- got lots of old LPs to convert!

Another great one Holly - the more I play any of them the more they
become 'The song in my head today' thumbs.gif

Anybody else downloaded "O Lucky Man Too!" and want to tell us what they think of the songs?

Today I am putting my 'Travellin' Man' LP onto CD and now I keep
singing "I'm gonna find her...." -- from Travellin' Man song.

    "The Story"

The song in my head when I woke up this morning was "The Story", from "O Lucky Man, Too". (I often wake up with music playing in my head, which sort of sets the tone for the day.)

Now that I'm fully awake, I'm sitting here enjoying my first cup of coffee, with "The Story" playing (via iTunes) on my laptop. It's a great song: another cautionary tale of fortune, fame, loss and redemption. "Even a wise man wants to be fooled" indeed!

If these are just works in progress, I can't wait to hear the finished versions! Well begun, Alan!

Can't say I have listened to that one Holly
    which CD is it on?

I have it on a Georgie/Alan compilation called Superhits. It's dated 1971 and Alan is listed as the composer. I think it's also on an old audiocassette I have called Fame and Price/ Price and Fame Together or something like that.

i always knew his songs are magic. i woke up feelin ill. so went to the doctor. My heart almost jumped inside. But thank God it's just a flu, not a swine one)

anyway, the thing that does matter is that i of course started to listen to AP) heartbeat is fine now)

If it isn't magic then what is?
