Problem with that question is there are so many inbetweens now a days.....having been married and it fell apart I would have to say i would rather be married but only if I knew that this time I was going to be loved properly.

Q (Being a bit heavy and political this time) Do you believe in messing around with human genetics?

    ruinedangel -
    a big NO to that
because some just won't know when to stop.

Do you prefer organic and free-range food?

  3. hollyh

    hollyh Founder Member

Free-range, absolutely. As for organic...there are a lot of not-so-healthy foods out there posing as organic, at least over here in the States, where big agribusiness has figured out how to finesse the organic requirements in order to raise their prices.

Buy local foods from small farmers you know and you'll always be better off.

Q Do you agree with the no-smoking rules imposed on public spaces?

Reluctantly yes. I'm really a believer of individual rights, but this is one that really if for the better of the majority of the people

What is your opinion of the death  penalty  :?:

(Didn't know smoking was being banned in US as well as here!)

Very difficult - but I suppose there are a very few case that really
    deserve the ultimate punishment.

Would you take part in a game show on TV?

  6. hollyh

    hollyh Founder Member

Yes, if the game tested knowledge or wits. No, if it just exploited your willingness to look like a fool in public.

Q Which is your main source of news -- TV, radio, internet, or newspapers?

  7. Diana

    Diana Administrator Staff Member

    Q. Who is your hero/person you admire most and why?

  11. hollyh

    hollyh Founder Member

Paint stripper? :( How awful! Was it an accident or something malicious? :x

That hero question's a hard one. There are many people whose work I admire who probably aren't such nice people. :? Just to be safe I will say Nick Lowe because he seems like a pleasant guy to hang out with and I really love his music. I really love Alan's music too, and he's always been nice to ME (yeah, the 30 seconds I spent with him after a show once  ), but I've heard other stories...

Q What is your proudest achievement in life so far?

  12. Diana

    Someone forgot the question!!

In generations, what was the oldest relative you knew?

(i.e. grandmother or great, great aunt)

  15. hollyh

    hollyh Founder Member

I knew my great-grandmother for a little while; she died when I was 4.

Q: Do you use any "alternative" health remedies?

  16. Jean

    Jean Webmaster Staff Member

Oh Yes! where do I start?

    Vitamins and supplements
Aloe Vera for Burns and dry skin
Rosemary Ointment (home-made) for joint pains
to name just three ... I could go on ... :)

Q: What is the one thing you would
you most like to do -
    or that you would you
most like to happen in your life.

  17. hollyh

    hollyh Founder Member

I would like to move to England and marry a rock musician. I have a few candidates in mind, but really, I wouldn't be too picky.

I don't see that happening anytime soon, of course. But in the realm of fantasy, why not?

Q -- What was the best concert you ever went to?

  18. Diana

    Diana Administrator Staff Member

Without a doubt, Buddy Holly and the Crickets March 28th 1958. What a night! He was the first performer to ever genuinely be able to reproduce his records live on stage with the aid of neither mime or backing tracks.

What's your favourite kind of night out?

  19. hollyh

    hollyh Founder Member

I do like to go out to a club and hear live music, if it's good. Otherwise, a film and a casual dinner are fine for me.

Q What are you "into" now that you never thought you'd like 20 years ago? [make that 5 years ago for those of you who are under the age of 30...]

  20. Jean

    Jean Webmaster Staff Member

    I'm "into"computer and APFF!

Didn't think I would be doing this five years ago, and I'm a bit over 30!!
(sorry - bit over 60 - well, so is Alan! )
