I have just found another website -

Anybody seen it yet? and for biography it says ...

"View a comprehensive biography @ AlanPriceonline"

This is under their heading News
(Seems a bit different to anything we have heard -
unless anybody knows better!!! and I notice his daughter
    Elizabeth is in the cast)

"Alan Price has been working for the last two years on a stage-musical
with the working title 'The Nearly Lucky Man' with the writer Paul Sirett.
He continues with his monthly appearance at the Yamaha Room at
The Bull's Head, Lonsdale Road, Barnes, London SW13 9PY.
(See Tour Dates for further information.)
A successful workshop of "The Lucky Man' was performed at the Garrick Theatre on 22nd June 2007
Directed by Braham Murray, Musical Assistant David Rose,Sound Engineer Paul MacCallum together
with a cast that included Derek Griffiths, Matthew Kelly, Elizabeth Price, Philip Stewart and Emma Williams
(now appearing in 'Desperately Seeking Susan' at the Novello Theatre).

There will be a production of the musical which will go into rehearsals in
    July 2008 and a tour starting in Sept./Oct. 2008."

Important news!!! Wow, I wonder if someone started up that website expressly to promote the new show. There's not much else on it, except for Bull's Head appearance dates. Frankly, if you looked at that site you wouldn't have any idea who Alan was.

Jean, did you email the site administrators and suggest they put up a link to our site?

No -didn't think of it - but perhaps I will tomorrow.

It's now 9.20 p.m. so I have to go watch TV with Jack,
but great to see some sort of news isn't it?

I don't know about Vic Gibbons' Newsletter though
as I have only had one newsletter for the whole of 2007
    but we shall see.

Yes, I think on the "official" site he's been promising a newsletter since 2005...but stay tuned anyway. :?

    New Songs!

    WOW !!!

The website has a LOT of great new stuff! Besides the news, photos and links to YouTube videos, there are several totally NEW SONGS (works in progess), 4 songs from a musical in the works called "King Of The Ring" and several live recordings. (Be careful not to miss the live version of "Going Down Slow", which is on the "Tour Dates" page (not on the "Music" page). This live version SMOKES! It made me want to drop everything and go to London to see Alan perform on the 13th! But since I can't, I'm glad to have all this new material to keep me smiling.

than all these new tunes - so a BIG THANKYOU to Alan!!!

This is just so great! I now realize how long it's been since we've had ANY new music from Alan -- it's so great to hear some fresh stuff. And I must say that if these are works in progress, I can't wait to hear how great they'll be when they're finished!

You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling is definitely one of my favorite songs--I've been practising the old Righteous Brothers harmonies for years! This is a great arrangement.

Looking at the section called Who's A Lucky Boy?, I see that it's not a reworking of O Lucky Man! at all, as I had originally assumed. The songs are all new, and the text says it was inspired by that series of Hogarth engravings, "A Rake's Progress." So now I'm wondering--had Alan already written some new material for the O Lucky Man! project and then ran into too many legal difficulties to get it done? (Wasn't there some problem with the Lindsay Anderson estate about getting the rights?) Maybe he just took what he'd written for that and converted it into this?

I'm dying to find out what's going to happen with all this music. It would be just TOO frustrating if we didn't get a record album in the end. He CAN'T just leave all this fabulous music to languish on this website.
