If memory serves me correct, there was a drama made by the BBC - in the 1980s? - which was a satire on Maggie Thatcher, and it features songs by Alan; but it was never shown. There was some fuss about this - it was seen as an act of self-censorship by the BBC, scared of what the Thatcher Government would say (although BBC executives denied this).
Does anyone remember anything about this?
