That's it
I just e-mailed the friend who was supposed to join me on the great trip to England for four or three days at the end of April, something we'd been talking about for over a year- she writes back, saying she never even mentionned it to her family. Now, I can understand that parents can be a little worried about their young daughters going alone to a foreign country- even my own Dad is keeping himself from blanching as we talk about it.
Told him about my frustation, and he himself didn't know that when I first told him about my project three months ago, he didn't realize how dead serious I was about it. Now he's taking it into consideration, and he understands: like him, travelling is part of my ethos. I'm one of those people who's ready to get up and go. And above all, like many people on here I'm sure (we're all willing to run over to England or some other place, especially if an authentic AP concert is included), I really hate disorganized people.
I've been planning on this all year long. My baccalauréat is coming up in June, and sadly I'll be moving back to the States for my college years, which means I won't be able to travel. So, whether people like it or not, I'm going to buy two tickets for the Edmonton show next May, whether I show up or not. And if I do, well ladies, if anyone wants a seat, you're more than welcome to join. I'm not going to let anything get in the way of my having fun, and that's final.

RE: That's it
You're right, Holly. As far as civilisation is concerned, it would be unacceptable, dishonest and disrespectful to just put something off like that and shrug my shoulders, just because someone else couldn't get their act together.
So now what I'll do, is I'm going to call into the theater today, and ask if I couldn't send to their postal address the cash to pay for the tickets. I'll pay it that way, because I don't use cheques, I don't have a bank account (there's tons of other things I don't use or own^^), in fact I keep everything in an envelope in my desk ...[size=medium] ahem.
I'm a regular mailbox user; the lady at the post office knows me by now because of all the manuscripts she handles for me, and she sympathized a while ago and thought she'd reduce the cost of postage sometimes !
That last sentence wasn't meant to be that small. Sorry...
