I will add more detail and dates to the above Bits from The Beat but have
put the magazines away without making notes - now I have to get them

PS Thanks for posting that article about Ray Davies too, Jean. wink For those of who who don't know, Ray did survive that attack and is back to complete health. In fact he has a new CD due out at the end of October, called Working Man's Cafe, recorded in Nashville and North London; it has several songs on it that are reportedly inspired by his New Orleans experience. Jean knows that Ray is another of my musical heroes.
