Doll or Dahl Island, Alaska. I just returned home from a visit with friends, and we talked about Doll/Dahl Island. The women's brother lives in Ketchikan, and when I was there 2 1/2 years ago, he took me to his float house in a bay off of THAT island. It was one of the most serene places that I have ever been to on this earth! When conditions are right, I'm going back! It's a 45 minute boat ride (skiff) from Ketchikan, and on the way back we caught silver and king salmon. I DO have photos, if someone will tell me how to upload? them.

Heading out to Chicago and Milwaukee this weekend for two days of outdoor music festivals (it's the 4th of July over here, where we celebrate getting rid of our British oppressors :P )-- so I'll say I'm dreaming of being on the shores of Lake Michigan, with warm summer breezes and fireworks filling the skies.
