on that tour.

Yea, we had a great time. Alan quickly proved himself to be the friendly, caring, down-to-earth person I'd always imagined him to be.
Afterwards, when I told friends about our meeting Alan, Eric and the other Animals members, I had to show the photos in order to be believed!
When we met the 2nd time, and I presented Alan with 11 x 14 enlargements of these photos, he told me they were some of the best photos of him performing that he'd ever seen, and that he'd try to use one or more of them on a future project. I'm still waiting, but at this point I'm not holding my breath. But... "hope springs eternal in a young man's breast." Glad you enjoyed the pics. I'll try to send more soon.

Being an Alan Price fan all photos are good but I must agree that these are different and truly delightful to look at!

<sigh> I LOVE THESE PHOTOS, TONY!!! I have to say, that gauzy white shirt really suits Alan. And these show the pensive side of him more than a lot of other photographs I've seen.

Thanks so much for sharing them, Tony! And for sharing the story of your experiences. I know that the one time I met Alan, too, he was down-to-earth and very friendly and surprisingly open -- no "I'm a Big Star" attitude. Makes me look forward all the more to the next encounter!!

Amazing shots - so full of mood. I especially like the one where he is stubbing out his cig on the keyboard - um - I mean he's on the keyboard stubbing out his cig, not that he's actually stubbing it out on the keyboard! Oh heck, you know what I meant!

Very funny, Diana! As it turns out, when I showed that photo to Alan, his reaction was... what control could I have been reaching for way up there?? Then it dawned on him that it was a photo of him putting out his smoke! We all had quite a laugh over the shot, but it was Eric Burdon who especially thought it was amusing!

Still, it's a effective composition, full of movement and light. I had it blown up to poster size and framed, and it's hanging over my desk as I type this note. I'll post a shot of me, my desk and the poster sometime soon.

I'm glad that you've enjoyed my photos! It's great to know that Alan Price fans (and Animals fans, which I've heard you are) are finding the APFF.

Getting to hang out with Alan (and the entire band) was such an amazing experience: a dream come true! It's great to be able to look back at the photos and re-live the excitement again and again!

Thnx you I like pics of Alan he look vary good , yes i'm Animals fun over 10years but i don't have a chance to hear Alan cd's i only heard songs from YT. And I live in Croatia in the city Zagreb , i like whan Alan is play keybords i like vary much , and like whan he was in 60's he is hadsome man and cute :lol: :lol: :lol:

He is STILL a handsome man -- and still can really play the keyboards. Oh, I hope you get to see him perform live sometime soon, Milka.

Many thanks for these unusual photos I've just discovered.
I downloaded this with the dedicate and print it but, after, I thought I should asked you the permission because of your copyright. But I assure you that it's "just for me"….
Thanks also for the reports on your different meetings with The Animals in 1983 and your phoned contacts with Alan. I do hope the project he talked to you will grow up one day… (Sorry, I miss English words to say what I what I want to explain) !
